Support the School

Throughout its history The Queen’s School has relied upon a variety of sources to fund its expenses and capital improvements. Direct Grants, Assisted Places, fees and support from the Foundation Bursary Fund have only ever provided just enough income to cover the costs of education.

Fees have always purposely been set low in order to make the school accessible. This bare minimum income structure has meant that the school has never built up significant cash reserves. Major capital improvements and the purchase of land and buildings have therefore normally been funded by the generosity of benefactors.

SupportIncome, in the form of gifts, is essential to supplement fees so that The Queen’s School may continue to offer a first class education, at a reasonable cost and retain its ability to offer, where needed, financial assistance with fees.

The purpose of the Development Department is to raise funds to support all areas of The Queen’s School.

The Annual Fund supports the school’s annual budget. This fund provides direct assistance to all girls in the school by paying for projects that fall just outside our ability to pay for them from fee income | Click here for more information

The Foundation Bursary Fund offers financial assistance to talented girls whose families cannot afford the fees | Click here for more information

The Buildings Fund supports major improvements to the school’s buildings and facilities | Click here for more information
